Session 004

Session 4: The Party awakes in The Hunter's Mark, goes downstairs to the sounds of Vissy arguing with members of the Woodman's Guild. The Party listens, and discovers the Woodmen are looking for their missing comrade.

The Party sits and has breakfast, Dax pockets some toast and bacon. The events of last night are denied by all. Dane drags a wooden chair to the western window after hearing some commotion outside, she stands on it to find Elder Lauran talking with the same Woodmen - the conversation seemed aggressive. Dane and Prifi speak with Elder Lauran on the matter. The Woodmen search the village and discover a body in the northern river inside the village. The party uses the southern gate to disguise their movements from the Woodmen.

The Party encounters a Dryad being attacked by 3 Bugbears. The Party engages in combat.
Nyx and Dez are wounded in battle, but the Party manages to defeat the Bugbears. The Dryad speaks in Sylvan, and tells the Party not to approach the "Sacred Grove" until the threat to the forest is gone. Dryad disappears into the forest.

Dax notices a small area of ground that appears disturbed, and digs up a small wooden box. Nyx manages to pick the lock, and count 80 pieces of Gold within it. Dax shares the Gold with the Party. Notably, this is very close to the same area where the Party had previous buried two members of the Woodman's Guild.

A human male rushes to the Party through the trees, and presents the phrase, "The raven greets..."
Dane responds "in flight" - the human male proceeds to speak, and mentioned how is is taken prisoner as a suspected murderer of 12 men who were poisoned by the water.

Nyx and Dane speak privately on what had occurred.

The Party decides to pursue the male human, to find him being captured by members of the Woodman's Guild. The Party waits.
The Party returns to the Woodman's Guild, and finds 3 men captured, guarded by 4 Woodmen.

The Party takes a short rest.
By dusk, Aaron Dolor comes out of the Guild House, and tells one of the prisoners to come with him. The Woodman Gunner forces the prisoners up the stairs and they disappear into the house.
