Sessions 020

Session 20:

It is early morning, everyone had their fill of wine and slept well. Turrok and Kelketh appear to be packing up and getting ready to leave, Hlal retired at some point in the late night back within the dragon statue after getting super toasty drunk, and has not returned. The wind blows gently through the holes in the roof and the broken windows from the battle last night. Broken glass and dried blood still scatter the Shrine floor, Turrok and Kelketh had removed disposed of the fiend's corpses outside of the Shrine by pouring some of their Holy Oil over them, and lighting them on fire - their demonic bodies quickly turning to ash. Despite being heavily wounded and close to death, Prifi appears to be in perfect health, and the Awakening Ritual from last night has blessed the rest of you with a strength none of you have felt before, something primitive and natural.

Kelketh looks up from his pack, he sounds confused, "...Hlal? Are you playing one of your tricks again?" Turrok turns his attention to Kelketh, and tilts his head, "No, Kel, that's... not her"

Laying comfortably on one of the pews, a large, black cat purrs slowly, and loudly. It's eyes are a vibrant gold, it's fur pitch black, and a long tail flicks to the left and right as it observes the Party.

Interactions during the Long Rest:

Hlal to Dez: Understanding of his apprehension to take an oath, and expresses admiration that he would take his freedom so seriously - Hlal presses the issue no further. Hlal asks Dez to tell her tales of what they have been up to, laughing heartily at the stories of the Woodman's Guild and Dez's control over Republic politicians, and the story of tricking a man to drinking a "homebrew" drink, poisoning him, Hlal takes a big drink of wine before slapping Dez on the back, "Ha! You may replace me one day when I am an old Dragon!"

Hlal to Nyx: Hlal explains further the scar on Nysha's lower back... for the High Elf, yes, the soul is there, and it isn't that the soul is hurt - but the scar is just more visible. Nysha's soul was already wounded, but coming to terms with it had made the scar come to the skin, and such, her power hidden within it. Hlal warns Nysha that the Misfits Guild will attempt to exploit this, and claims Yolandi herself also found this power, within this very Shrine. Hlal admits she enjoys Yolandi, and wishes she'd come around more often. Hlal tells Nysha that she expects to hear some stories of mischief if she should ever come back.

Hlal to Dax: "It is so beautiful when a human and a fae find love!" she says, Hlal seems to grin from ear to ear speaking to Dax, "She trusted you with such power, and you have done well with it! You aren't like most humans" she admits. At a moment of silence, before bedding down, Hlal seeks Dax, "Dax... I think she may be trouble, not now, but in the future... please check up on her soon"

Hlal to Dane: Hlal looks to the night sky, "He's coming." She offers no further explanation, "It is better if Kelketh explains it, tomorrow"

Hlal to Prifi: Hlal makes it clear the she harbors no hate or distrust due to her loyalty to Pelor, and in fact, admires it. She explains the visions to her, and what it means. Hlal was clearly a close friend to Pelor.
